Electa is the online voting platform deployed by Election Trust® for both on-site and remote balloting. Every vote is cryptographically secured, individually verifiable, and universally auditable — without compromising voter anonymity.
Electa guides each voter through a secure, intuitive process — no software or apps to install, no technical knowledge required.
Remote voters receive either a PIN via email or a direct credential link via SMS. These credentials are never stored on the election server — only the voter holds their ballot key.
The PIN voter logs in with any browser or device to select their choices. The SMS voter simply votes on their phone. On closing, both are presented with Confirmation Receipts.
The ballot is encrypted on the device and transmitted securely to the election server. An email receipt is sent to the voter confirming the ballot was received and registered.
Using their Confirmation Receipt, each voter can confirm their encrypted ballot appears on the public bulletin board — verifying it was cast as intended and counted as cast.
After voting closes, all ballots are passed through a cryptographic shuffle that permanently breaks the link between voter identity and ballot choice — preserving full voter anonymity.
On tabulation, your organization is issued a Certified Results Report. The immutable Electa tabulation log is archived for one year in case of an audit.
To unlock the final tally, Election Trust® must collaborate with authorized stakeholder trustees. This adds a layer of Trust Protocol that some organizations may require.
Election Trust® deploys Electa as a fully managed service — Secure, verified access for eligible voters ensuring authorized access to anonymous ballots — all wrapped in End-to-End Verifiable encryption and protocol.
